    It has been years since I was in the Cove Shopping Plaza in Deerfield Beach. I remember one of my favorite restaurant,One Potato Two Potato, being in  here. So as our Sunday breakfast tour pulled up to Sadie's, we were reminiscing about the past.  The food was good and the service friendly and attentive. We will be back.

    We had a very good lunch here today. Part of that goes to our waitress who was pleasant and personable. The new owner (who we chatted with at the check out register) told us they bought the place six months ago. They specifically wanted good staff. And it shows.

    This small diner-style restaurant is in the corner of an industrial strip facing Copans Road and serves breakfast and lunch. There are a lot of business people coming in. We chose it because it was not far from Costco which was our later destination.

    They had specials on the blackboard and the waitress told us what had been most popular so far today. We opted, however, to order off the regular menu. Prices are inexpensive.

    My girlfriend got a Greek salad with extra dressing. It was a large portion with mixed greens. I chose a fried cod sandwich. It was a square of fish fresh from the freezer, but still decent. And it came with fries, slaw, and a pickle.

    This place is not fancy. Nor is the food. It's pretty basic -- but if you like diner food,  you'll be happy. I'd like to try their breakfast when next in this neighborhood.

    Food was OK the service was OK the people could've been a little bit more friendly.I would give it another go at it looks like it's under new ownership.

    This place is the BEST! The Reubens here are absolutely DELICIOUS! I promise I haven't had better. They are excellent. All the food here is wonderful. Friendly staff, even better owners. You only need to come in her once and you'll be returning. Great home vibe.
